Google misleads us into thinking that their AI, Gemini, is more advanced than it actually is. In their « Hands-on with Gemini: Interacting with multimodal AI » video, they edited the outputs to make it look like the AI was responding in real-time to the user. However, in reality, the user was only prompted with text, and the AI simply responded with pre-recorded footage. Google should be more transparent about their AI’s capabilities, especially given the recent scrutiny from the government.
